About the Institution

Kushtia Zilla School was established in 1961. The campus spans 8 acres in the heart of Kushtia. The school is deeply tied to the history of the 1971 Liberation War, as its grounds were occupied by the Pakistani Army before being violently liberated by East Pakistan Rifles and local rebel forces after intense fighting in March 1971.

  • Abrar Farhad - BUET student posthumously awarded the Independence Award.
  • Abul Barkat - Economist and professor at the University of Dhaka.
  • Anamul Haque - Wicket-keeper for the Bangladesh national cricket team.
